Glastonbury Festival 2025 – The UK’s biggest music and arts festival has officially come to a close after five incredible days at Worthy Farm, Somerset. Over 200,000 people came together to experience a festival filled with music, emotion, and unforgettable moments.

Glastonbury Festival 2025 will officially kick off on Wednesday 25 June and run until Sunday 29 June 2025, at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset, England, the perfect time to soak up the festival spirit and enjoy some great music.
Diverse lineup of artists lights up the stage
The festival’s three main nights are headlined by three iconic acts from three different generations: The 1975 rock the Friday night with their signature modern rock, Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts bring deep nostalgia on Saturday night, while Olivia Rodrigo closes the festival with a performance full of feminism and explosive emotion. Additionally, the “legend” Rod Stewart will perform on the Sunday afternoon slot, exciting tens of thousands of spectators.
Notably, Lorde made a surprise appearance, flooding the Woodsies stage to the point of closure. Also notable was the return of Lewis Capaldi, who missed the 2023 show due to health reasons. He made a surprise appearance on the Pyramid stage to complete his unfinished performance and introduce his new song “Survive”.
In addition, Glastonbury 2025 also saw the first appearances of many other talented artists such as Noah Kahan, Alanis Morissette, Gracie Abrams, Busta Rhymes, Lola Young, Brandi Carlile, Myles Smith, En Vogue, Amaarae, Cymande, Shaboozey and Gary Numan, contributing to the diversity and richness of the stage.
Colorful atmosphere and social message
Glastonbury is about more than just music. This year’s festival boldly tackled social issues – from violence, to environmental causes, to political conflict. Areas such as Theatre & Spoken Word and Greenpeace Stage hosted a number of discussions, anti-war art performances and awareness-raising workshops.
In particular, the “Flame of Hope” event – a symbolic peace flame lit at midnight – became a symbol of the festival’s message of global unity.

Despite the overwhelming praise, Glastonbury 2025 has had some mixed reviews. Some fans have said the lineup lacks international superstars and is not appealing enough to Gen Z. However, critics have praised the balance between veteran artists and young talent, and praised the organization and social depth.
